Once again we take a look at what stress is and then look at how positive stress can be beneficial. It is only when our coping mechanisms fail that stress becomes a problem. This workshop helps you to audit your stress levels and manage the negative stress that can be disabling.

Once the audits are completed we look at various ways we can mange stress so that we can feel positive about the pressure that everyday life throws at us, personally and professionally.

It is a very interactive course and there is the opportunity to share and debate with fellow participants and exchange ideas.

We all have it but need to nurture it and have it ready for the tough times.
This course asks how resilient you are and then checks which areas you need an extra layer of padding to bounce back.
We then talk about the signs – we either are or are not as resilient as we would like and develops strategies to grow stronger.
As Nietzche said:  What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger – or you might like the song (Katy Perry’s version).

Life is a series of changes and at most times we go from one thing to the other with no difficulty. However, when changes are causing conflict within ourselves there are ways of breaking down those barriers in order to move forward.

The course that Think Differently delivers is based on the best selling book: Who moved my cheese?. It brings together the characters in that book – two mice and two men, and looks at where you are and which character you identify with.

Once you see that comparison, it is relatively easy to give you tools to manage change more effectively. The workshop is fun and experiential. It has been well received by staff and managers alike

If you don’t value yourself then who else will?

This workshop talks you through an assessment of how to measure your self esteem and then build it. We have more confidence than we realise and valuing ourselves is the first stage in beginning to please ourselves rather than other people. In other words we look at how to be confident enough to not worry about what others think of us. That way we take responsibility for our own beliefs and start to live by them. Another word for self esteem is self belief.

As a result of low self esteem, we often do not take care of ourselves and this can result in anxiety, poor performance at work and in our personal life and a lack of self compassion. The second part of this workshop is considering if we actually take care of ourselves adequately and if not, what we can do to improve our self care.

You can participate in this online and if you choose share your thoughts with others in the group. There is of course a commitment that what is said in the group stays in the group.

What is a Dreamcatcher – a creative workshop?

A fun time for you to have more joy in life and increased happiness

Dreamcatcher is a relaxing yet reviving workshop using images that inspire you.

These may be words or pictures – any image that you feel will bring you inspiration.

We start with a blank slate – a piece of card, and add images to it that give a vision of your clear intention about where your life is and where you would like it to be.

What might be significant is the things you chose to leave off.

By doing this piece of art you have something to look at each day as a source of motivation and encouragement to yourself.

It gives our brains clear limits

The process of  creating your Dreamcatcher is that it is personal to you, it is a space of growth, healing ,vision and seeing this image helps you to find your dream. What is mentoring?

When you choose Think Differently you will be working with Maggy who is a trained mentor- and a mentor is an experienced and trusted advisor.It can lead to greater success for the individual and the team.

What is Team Building?

Team building is a series of tasks and activities that enhance social relations and define roles within the team. It is a collaborative process and is as such a group activity to encourage bonding and development.

There are several approaches to doing this but the workshop Think Differently offers is based on identifying each team member’s strengths and weaknesses and plotting where the team is deficient so that all people can contribute to the whole- team effectively and find solutions to filling the gaps.

What is coaching?

This is a form of development where learners are supported in achieving persona or professional goals. This is achieved by using a coach who has knowledge of the process as well as the variety of skills and techniques that are appropriate to the context in which the coaching takes place.

There is no such thing as a difficult person only difficult behaviour. In this workshop we look at the different types of people and their behaviour and how to deal with it.

It is a mix of psychology and strategies to deal with behaviour which is destructive, aggressive or threatening as well as passive. All these can be frustrating for you if you are trying to communicate with these people and keep your cool . It will also look at coping strategies and the theory behind it.

Knowing is one thing- dealing with it is another level.

There are times in our lives when we are forced to take actions that do not fit with out belief system. Yet we soldier on resenting what is the way we feel we have to be in order to earn a living.

In this course we learn about what burnout is, the signs and symptoms and then how to avoid it- by backing out, temporarily or as a more permanent solution .

It helps us to see we have choices and however scary it seems, it is possible to change direction and feel that we look forward to  the working day instead of dreading it.

Don’t be SAD

Depression is a debilitating condition- not just the low moods we all experience from time to time. It has been called the Black Dog and is characterised by lethargy, sleeplessness, early waking and a feeling of gloom.

It is not a stigma having depression, and can be overcome using a combination of thoughts, feelings and behaviour work. There is also the Seasonal Affective Disorder that is brought about when we live in permanent darkness over the winter months, getting up in the dark, travelling home in the dark and only rarely seeing daylight. This can be handled too.

Enrol on this and learn to identify the symptoms of depression and ways to manage it.
